From reading other comments here we did not feel it as strongly as people further from the epicentre. House shook enough for us to go outside where ground continued to shake and water in pool became choppy. Animals not affected. No damage. No panic.

Outside in hotel pool area it started to feel like waves passing by. No visible damage what so ever. People got bit nervous, children crying but it was soon over, back to normal.

My first earthquake ever. My partner felt the body waves, she grew up with earthquakes. She noticed the quake first before the Greek employees. Swimming pool spilled over slightly. Very low frequency surface waves with Rayleigh wave maybe below 1Hz. No damage. Weird, drunken feeling when coda waves continued until at least 30 sec.

Very scary. We were on the 3rd floor of our hotel and it started shaking in many directions. My wife and I ran under a door frame. It felt like it lasted 45 seconds or so.

We were sat at a bar by the port in Chania- everyone ran out of the bars they were in looking a bit panicked. We were just a bit confused and wanted to finish our cocktails. It felt like my boyfriend was wiggling around on the chair a lot/like a train was going by above our bar!

Very scary my first real one lasted what felt a very long time,I s stop under a door way, few items in apartment feel,I was afraid that the build would crack, it wasnt like I imagined, I thought it would be back and forth, but this was being shaken in different directions moment after moment, I'm still feeling dizzy walking and standing from it eight mins ago.

I was relaxing in my study and all of sudden the room began to sway from side to side. It felt like an amusement ride. The ceiling light was swaying left to right. I could hear people shouting and screaming outside. Some of them appeared to panic. The whole episode lasted about 1 1/2 minutes.
