Seismic sequence in Northern Iceland

On April 2^nd at 00:59 UTC, a M5.2 earthquake occurred on the north mid-Atlantic rigde, about 50 km north of Icelandic coasts. This earthquake has been felt in Northern Iceland. More information here.

In the 36 hours following the maion showk, 35 aftershocks have been published on EMSC website. Among them, 23 M3.5+ and 8 M4+.
