Was on the toilet and felt like vertigo but realized it was an earthquake, shook for a long time.

Long rolling earthquake - heavy strong. Got dizzy even..All vehicles in area were rocking and powerlines swaying. People in our area were basically excited. No panic surprisingly.

7th story non ductile cement renovated building in downtown los angeles, chinatown region, building built 1916 renovated 2012-13 not sure the extent of retrofit. 12 foot ceilings with 4 cement pillars cement ceiling and floors Very long shaking maybe 45 sec, not violent but could see some wall shaking and as intensity eacalalted could hear the new soft wall divisions start to creak- whole space could feel side to side NE-SW shaking pillars and cement felt stable but allthe interior new walls were rattling. Compared to how i felt Northridge quake in santa monica i wouldput it at 1/6 that intensity..

Gentle rolling side to side motion earthquake.

It felt like it lasted a good minute

The building kept swaying back and forth. Several pictures fell off of the book shelf.
