VERCE Summer School

Last update: 29 May 2015 at 13:00 UTC

Invitation to seismologists or geophysicists who are interested in running full waveform simulations, or dealing with large seismological data sets, to the VERCE summer school taking place on the 1st- 3rdJuly 2015 at the University of Liverpool.

The training will cover tools that have been developed in the VERCE project to make computationally intensive and data intensive methods more accessible for seismology researchers. We anticipate that the content will be useful for postgraduate students and early career researchers, but is open to all interested parties.

Full details of the summer school can be found on the training pages of the VERCE project website : http://www.verce.eu/Training/UpTraining.php

Attendance is free, and cheap accommodation is available on campus.

To register please click on the following link: http://payments.liv.ac.uk/browse/extra_info.asp?compid=1&modid=2&deptid=38&catid=38&prodid=792.

Registration is open until 5th June 2015. If accommodation is required this may be booked at registration.

There are also a limited number of travel grants to cover your journey to the training. To apply for these please email a 1 side A4 document outlining why you want to come to the training, your position (PhD student postdoc etc) and why you are interested in the techniques, as well as where you are travelling from, to the email address below. Applications will be considered on a first come first serve basis from any academic at any EU institution, though PhD students and early stage postdocs will be prioritised. Travel grant applications also close on the 5th June.

If you have any questions please email: .
